
About The Facilitator
Kabe oversees practice at the Mindfulness Practice Center of Fort Walton Beach. He is a retired senior executive with past leadership roles at AT&T Bell Laboratories, Lucent Technologies Inc., and ADVO Inc.
Kabe started his meditation practice in 1986 and since 1994 has practiced in the tradition of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh from whom he received the Five Mindfulness trainings in 2002.
In September, 2013 he was Ordained by Thich Nhat Hanh as a Member of the Order of Interbeing and received the Transmission
of the 14 Mindfulness Trainings. His Dharma
name is Chan Lan Dien/True Field of Orchids
and he belongs to the 43rd generation of the
Lam Te (Linji) Dhyana School and the
9th Generation of the Lieu Quan Dharma Line.
He is a Member of the Magnolia Grove Mindfulness Practice Center & Monastery community in Batesville, Mississippi.
Kabe is also a past Member of Unity in Ft. Walton Beach where he is a past Prayer Chaplain Trainer. He has additional training in Christian Centering Prayer & Meditation in the tradition of Father Thomas Keating and the practice of Chi Gung (QiGong).
In other community service he delivers talks at area churches, practice centers and retreats.
Kabe has been married to Lyn Woods for 39 years and they have two children and four grandchildren. They have lived in Ft. Walton Beach since 2004 after living in Texas, New Jersey, North Carolina and Connecticut.
